Charles Schulz and Charlie Brown Both Leave Us
"To take a blank piece of paper and draw characters that people love and worry about is extremely satisfying. It really does not matter what you are called or where your work is placed as long as it brings some kind of joy to some person some place."

On the eve of the last newly printed Peanuts strip, the one whom brought it to life, and thus decided to retire "The Gang", Himself retires.
Charles was 77, and his son, Charlie, was 50.
May both finally have "the little red-headed girl".
Somehow, I know we can all relate to some wonderful aspect of The Gang.
Whether we weren't sure what we were getting into,
Seemed like everyone else got it all, while we just waited,
Someone told us important words of wisdom that we just didn't undertstand,
At school,
Maybe, we felt as if all we could do was to look out at the world,
Maybe we couldn't,
We kept trying, not knowing why,
Just slept the day away,
More than likely, lied awake, trying to figure it all out,
AND JUST ONCE WE WERE THE HERO!!!
Here is to you, and what you did for us, Charles Shultz.
And to the family you created that became ours.
GOOD GRIEF!! WE LOVE YOU CHARLIE SCHULZ!!!
